Lucy Barnes

Lucy is a Health Psychologist with over 20 years of experience. She is registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and is a member of The Institute of Health Psychology.

Lucy specialises in working with people with a range of health conditions and psychological issues such as anxiety, mood disorders and neurodiversity. Therapy modalities include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and narrative and mindfulness techniques.

Lucy’s areas of interest and experience are working with:
Anxiety disorders such as obsessive compulsive, body dysmorphia, social anxiety, mood disorders, neurodiversity such as ADHD and Autism, grief and loss, sleep difficulties, stress management, worry and burnout, professional supervision, coping with health conditions such as cancer, cardiology and diabetes.
 
Lucy graduated with a Master of Science (Hons) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Psychology from The University of Auckland. She has worked extensively in the health sector including The Cancer Society, Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand), Canopy Cancer Care and Canteen Aotearoa as well as Anxiety New Zealand and many years in private practice.
