Sarah Simpson

Registered Counsellor (NZAC)
Sarah is a registered counsellor who believes that meaningful change happens when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. She works with adults who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or at a crossroads in their lives, emotionally, relationally, or personally.

Her approach is pluralistic and collaborative, drawing primarily from person-centred therapy, narrative therapy, and CBT. Rather than following a rigid model, Sarah works alongside clients to find what is most helpful for them, at that point in their life.

Sarah has a special interest in anxiety, depression, self-esteem, sobriety and sober curiosity, relationship difficulties, attachment, separation, and the emotional challenges of parenting and co-parenting. She brings warmth, curiosity, and compassion to her work, and values honesty, safety, and mutual respect within the therapeutic relationship.

Sarah sees therapy as a collaborative process not about “fixing” clients, but about supporting them to reconnect with their own wisdom, agency, and capacity for change. Her intention is always to walk alongside clients until they feel more grounded, resourced, and able to move forward with direction, determination and greater sense of self.  Sarah promises to “meet clients where they’re at”.
